Admission Information
The YMCA of Hong Kong Christian College (YHKCC) welcomes applications from students with a wide range of backgrounds. This enriches our international community and offers vital preparation for students to join today’s world. The teacher-student ratio is 1:8.6. The school uses English as the medium of instruction (EMI). Only Chinese-related subjects are taught in Chinese. The average class sizes are shown in the table below:

Many subjects, however, are taught in smaller groups of about 20 students because classes are divided into sets. The school does not participate in the Government’s Form 1 or Form 4 Secondary School Place Allocation (SSPA) System. The school admits students directly. After applicants have been assessed and interviewed, confirmed places may be offered. All new Form 1 students are required to bring a MacBook to the school for lessons everyday.
